A lot of people have it all twisted. Loving yourself doesn’t mean you think you’re perfect. It’s natural to not like some things about yourself as much as others. Loving yourself is acceptance of who you, flaws and all, with the desire to continue improving and evolving. It’s not what others think of you and how much others are attracted to you, contrary to popular belief. That’s self IMAGE, which relies on external things for you to feel good about yourself, and a lot of people substitute that for self esteem, unfortunately.
Loving yourself is an inside job, and something that no one can take away from you because it never relied on outside validation and acceptance to begin with. Do you really love YOU when there’s no one around? Do you love YOU when you log off social media networks? Do you love YOU without the validation and external noise?
